For an experienced Asphalt Crew Supervisor to ensure quality paving operations for a leading civil construction company. A permanent full-time role within an industry-focused employer.
Requires: 5 years minimum leadership in asphalt operations and relevant asphalt operations tickets.
Salary guide: $45 – $60/hr + penalties (approx. $100,000 – $120,000 per year)
Location: Western Suburbs Sydney NSW
Your normal day will involve:
- Leading a crew of 6-10 asphalt workers, setting daily goals.
- Conducting pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Monitoring quality control during asphalt paving activities.
- Guiding the team on heavy machinery such as pavers and rollers.
- Communicating with project managers and external contractors.
- Documenting daily work, productivity, and issues that arise on-site.
As an Asphalt Crew Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in leading paving projects while ensuring all procedures meet customer and regulatory specifications. You will need:
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Strong understanding of R116 Asphalt
- In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving and machinery operation — 5 years' experience minimum
- Experience with quality control and safety standards
- Valid White Card (Construction Induction)
- Plant operation tickets for: Paver Roller Skid Steer Loader (Bobcat)
- Traffic Control Ticket
- MR or HR Driver’s License
- Cert III/IV in Civil Construction or Supervision (Not essential but highly regarded:
- First Aid Certificate
- Forklift License
- Loader or Excavator tickets
